Day 1: Arrival in Paro

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Imperial Lotus Tours and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you can explore the local market and try some Bhutanese cuisine for dinner.

Day 2: Paro – Punakha

After breakfast, you will drive to Punakha, which is about a 3-hour drive from Paro. En route, you will stop at the Dochula Pass (3,140 meters) for a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. After lunch, you will visit Punakha Dzong, which is one of the most beautiful and historic dzongs in Bhutan. In the evening, you can explore the local town and relax at your hotel.

Day 3: Punakha – Wangdue – Punakha Rafting

After breakfast, you will drive to Wangdue and then proceed for a thrilling white water rafting experience on the Punakha river. You will be accompanied by experienced rafting guides from Imperial Lotus Tours who will ensure your safety throughout the journey. You will raft through class III and IV rapids and enjoy the scenic beauty of the river valley. After rafting, you will return to Punakha and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Punakha – Paro

After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro and visit the National Museum of Bhutan, which houses a collection of Bhutanese art and artifacts. You will also visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress and monastery. In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk around Paro town and do some shopping.

Day 5: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

After breakfast, you will hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest), which is located on a cliff at an altitude of 3,120 meters. The hike takes about 4-5 hours round trip and offers breathtaking views of the Paro valley. You will also visit some other temples and monasteries on the way. In the evening, you can relax at your hotel.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
