Day 1:

Arrive in Paro Upon arrival in Paro, you will be met by your tour guide from Imperial Lotus Tours and escorted to your hotel. After lunch, visit the Ta Dzong, which now houses the National Museum of Bhutan, and the Paro Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress built in 1646. Overnight in Paro.

Day 2: Paro

Paro After breakfast, hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor. In the afternoon, visit the Drukgyal Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang. Overnight in Paro.

Day 3: Paro – Thimphu

Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. En route, stop at the Sangaygang viewpoint and the Takin Preserve Centre. After lunch, visit the National Memorial Chorten, National Library, Zorig Chusum (The School of Thirteen Arts), Traditional Medicine Institute, and Folk Heritage Museum. In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha

Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas. Visit the Chhimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, and the Punakha Dzong, the Palace of Great Happiness. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5: Punakha – Phobjikha

Drive to Phobjikha, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Himalayas and the winter home of the endangered Black Necked Cranes. En route, visit Wangduephodrang Dzong and Gangtey Gompa. Overnight in Phobjikha.

Day 6: Phobjikha – Trongsa – Bumthang

Bumthang Drive to Trongsa and visit the impressive Trongsa Dzong, the ancestral home of the Royal Family. Then visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower, before continuing to Bumthang. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 7: Bumthang

After breakfast, visit the Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, and Jakar Dzong. In the afternoon, explore the town of Jakar. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 8: Bumthang – Mongar

Drive to Mongar, en route visit the Ura Valley and enjoy a picnic lunch. Overnight in Mongar.

Day 9: Mongar – Trashigang

Drive to Trashigang, the easternmost district in Bhutan. En route, visit the Drametse Monastery, which is famous for its masked dances. Overnight in Trashigang.

Day 10: Trashigang

After breakfast, visit Trashigang Dzong and the nearby villages. In the afternoon, visit the Radhi village and learn about traditional weaving. Overnight in Trashigang.

Day 11: Trashigang – Trashi Yangtse

Drive to Trashi Yangtse and visit the Chorten Kora, a stupa patterned after the famous Bodnath Stupa in Nepal. Overnight in Trashi Yangtse.

Day 12: Trashi Yangtse – Bumthang

Drive back to Bumthang and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bumthang.

Day 13.Bumthang – Phobjikha

Start early in the morning and drive to Trongsa, which takes approximately 2.5 hours.Visit the Trongsa Dzong, the largest dzong in Bhutan, and explore the town.After lunch, continue the journey to Phobjikha Valley, which takes approximately 3.5 hours.Check into your accommodation and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 14.Phobjikha – Paro

After breakfast, start the journey to Paro, which takes approximately 5 hours. route, stop at the Dochula Pass and take in the panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range. Visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful and historically significant dzongs in Bhutan. Continue the journey to Paro and check into your accommodation for the night.

Overnight in Paro.

Day 15. Departure:

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Paro International Airport for your departure flight. Your tour with Imperial Lotus Tours comes to an end.
