    About this tour

    Tour overview

The Jomolhari trek is the most popular high trek in Bhutan, and for good reason. You follow the Paro River up through forest and yak pastures to Jangothang, a camp right below the 7,326-metre face of Jomolhari. Then you loop home over two high passes, with views of glaciers, lakes and snow peaks all the way.

Our crew pitches camp, cooks and loads the pack horses, so you only carry a day pack. It is a perfect trek if you want real Himalayan scenery in ten days.

How Hard Is the Jomolhari Trek?

Best Time for the Jomolhari Trek

April to May and late September to November are best. Autumn gives the clearest view of the peak. In October, you can also join the Jomolhari Mountain Festival at base camp. For packing tips, read our Bhutan travel information guide.

    What the Price Includes

Your Jomolhari trek starts from US$4,000 per person, and group discounts are available. The price covers the Sustainable Development Fee, hotels and camping, and all meals. It also includes a trek crew and cook, pack horses, tents, a private vehicle and driver, a licensed guide, taxes and entry fees. Flights, insurance and drinks are extra.

The Sustainable Development Fee is USD 100 per night right now. That is half the standard rate set by Bhutan’s official tourism site. However, this lower rate is confirmed only until 31 August 2027. We have been licensed since 2012 and have welcomed more than 2,000 travellers.
