Your Bhutan travel journey begins with a breathtaking flight into Paro, one of the most scenic mountain landings in the world. As the aircraft glides between Himalayan peaks, terraced fields and traditional farmhouses appear below. After arrival, you settle into your hotel and take a relaxed walk through Paro town, where small cafés and craft shops introduce you to the gentle pace of Bhutanese life.
After breakfast, you drive to Thimphu following the Paro Chhu river. En route, you stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, an ancient temple connected by a traditional iron bridge built by the legendary saint Thangtong Gyalpo. In Thimphu, you visit the massive Buddha Dordenma, overlooking the valley. As evening approaches, the city’s streets come alive with small markets and restaurants serving local dishes.
